They suggested that I try this distro and I wanted to know if once you have created a bootable usb stick you can try it before installing it.
Thanks

Hi!
Yes.
Wherever you install it (Internal/External Disk, Fast USB Stick or Fast Memory Card) it's 100% Functional and you will be able to save changes (Persistence).

Regarding USB Sticks, please read the following as seen on https://ilinuxos.com/install-requirements.html :
Some USB Sticks have Hardware Level Encryption or Custom Hardware Settings from their Manufacturer and thus will not be able to Startup from iLinux OS or any other Operating System.
In USB Sticks Read/Write Speed varies. NOT ALL USB STICKS HAVE THE SAME READ/WRITE SPEED. Research thoroughly before buying and choose one with High Read/Write Speed.
We have thoroughly tested and recommend the following USB Sticks but you can use whatever you feel appropriate:
Sandisk Extreme Series
Sandisk Extreme Pro Series
Sandisk Ultra Flair Series
Thanks for support
I had read the faq well but I could not find this answer
I would like to install it on a machine then used by a young boy who wants to get closer to the linux world but like (almost) all the guys he puts aesthetics first. LOL
You are most welcome!
I bet he will love iLinux Start https://ilinuxos.com/ilinux-start.html and Easy Access https://ilinuxos.com/easy-access.html !
Aesthetics (User Interface) is a major element and key factor of Computer Science and iLinux OS redefines how we use Computers by constantly pushing User Interface Design and Ease Of Use to the limit.
In Install https://ilinuxos.com/install.html and in Install Requirements https://ilinuxos.com/install-requirements.html you can see that iLinux OS can be installed in USB Sticks. :-)
There is no FAQ section in the website (LOL!) but for your convenience we have created a related topic in Knowledge Base:
https://ilinuxos.com/kb-can-i-try-ilinux-os-from-a-usb-stick-before-i-install-it-on-my-computer.html
Enjoy iLinux!
We have made available to the boy a not very recent forklift but with HardW characteristics (with SSD) far exceeding the minimum required ....
My concern to explain to the boy that his 'aesthetic' is called DE (LOL) as well as I will explain other things during the first didactic session in front of the live and then proceed with the installation of iLinux
Thanks
Let us now what the kid thinks about iLinux!
