Why is iLinux very big?

append delete WilliamFortHoes

Sorry for my username and title, I'm just furious.

So I was searching "linux" because my friend told me to go to a website called "linux.com" or "linux.org" or something, and I accidently typed an "i" before "linux" and this distro showed up. I proceeded to click on the Linux knowing that it probably isn't linux.org or linux.com but I wanted to check anyway.

After clicking a picture of a man showed up and I got a bit spooked honestly. Then I clicked on the arrows and took a look, saw a picture of a woman, some kids, blah bla bla, and then went to download. I was kind of getting triggered by the grammar mistakes and capital mistakes here and there, when you can use bold letters or italic, and then clicked on download.

Forgot to mention, I did check the screenshots, and when I saw the part about 500 apps pre-installed, I told "what the hell!!" because us windows users are complaining about bloat and iLinux has this. I'll let it slide and went to download. Then I clicked the download button for the main one, not IRP, and then I got such 20GB or something file. Like seriously I wanted to try this out, why do you have to make things so big?

Also this forum seems to be very toxic and this guy @Fotini and @you suck bro seem to be toxic here. Is there any moderation here? While trying I see there are two moderators, but are they offline? iLinux Support Team is the one online, but is the creator on vacation or something? Sorry if I sounded rude.

The iLinux install Disk Image (.img) is indeed big because it offers more Out of the Box. In addition, there are many Linux Distros that have Big Installation Media, some of them bigger than iLinux. A Linux Distro should not be judged by the size of it's Installation Media but from what it offers to the User.

iLinux comes with Apps. Not bloat. You can't know what every End User will need, because every End User is different.

Also, iLinux has preinstalled Apps in case you are Offline and can't download Apps.

To compare, Windows 10/11 fully updated with Microsoft Office can't fit in a 32GB Disk.

If you are not comfortable with an Operating System with many Apps preinstalled, iLinux OS is not for you. You must use another Operating System.

That's the beauty of Linux. There is something for everyone.
