Why I switched to iLinux

append delete Kathy

I was using elementaryOS for a long time but it always felt like a phone to me. I wanted something more and tried Linux Mint for a time but it was too buggy. All this until I saw iLinux at my friend's testing it on his computer running from a USB stick. Jaw dropped, played with it for 2 hours and that was it. Backed up my files and elementaryOS was gone the next day.

It's my 2nd week with iLinux and all I can say to the people behind this is WOW!!! I always envied Mac users but never had the money to buy a Mac and now I have something so good yet different and better than a Mac! I am totally in love with the speed, the colors and the interface of iLinux!

I really dig the embedded apps cause it's a great time saver for me. Control Center is by far the best I 've ever seen compared to Gnome, Mint, elementary, Ubuntu, Windows & Mac. So many settings and choices all together it's so useful! I am looking back to linux distros I've used in the past and thinking of the time I lost on them makes me kinda mad. But I am happy I found iLinux even though I see it's under boycott judging from a quick google search and what I've read in this forum!

What amazes me with iLinux is the little things like Extras for example. It shows how much you people love iLinux and care for the users! We are not just numbers for you!

One thing I want to say to the wonderful people behind iLinux: You 've made something great and amazing! Stick to it and don't listen to anything anyone says! You are the best! Thank you!

P.S. Can I send you some music for the Extras?!

"Extra" folder...?

Is this like, adding extra unnecessary things into your computer?
Seriously, I think this is unnecessary, as it will greatly increase the disk usage and make the system heavier, also why you need to do that when a just simple Google search is needed?

@ClickNin

We don't all like the same things on our computer so stop bullying people around here.

She said she likes Extras, I like Extras, you don't.

That's fine.

Use another Linux distro if you don't like iLinux.

Don't be so negative and so aggressive to other people's wishes.

Your review is very biased.

@Biased

Every opinion is biased. I love iLinux, you don't. Fine. You can't change my opinion and I don't give a damn about yours. Like @Linux Soul said, use another distro and stop bullying me. Got it buster? We Texan girls are polite only once.

append delete #7. Biased

What/who are "Texan girls"?

@Kathy

Welcome!

i386 added on

Nice music!

You are just a fake iLinux user... no one would call themselves i386.

You call yourself "ok boomer123"?

You are mentally dead and you still don't know it...

Applications Pad is a fine addition to the interface. Just bind it to a keystroke and voila! A Mac Launchpad in your computer. I love this distro!

Putting aside the excellent interface theme color sets, for me the biggest success of iLinux is the consistency of operation.

It always works as expected with no unpleasant suprises and you do everything with the minimum number of mouse clicks.

@Linux Soul

I agree 100%. Consistency is where most linux distros (and Windows) fail.

@Kathy

The music you submitted has already been uploaded.

It will be visible in Home Folder > Extras > Music in the next automatic sync.

Thanx Support Team!

I agree 100%. Consistency is where most linux distros (and Windows) fail.

In iLinux, GTK3/GTK4 theme is not applied to where it should be.
Chrome window style is not fit to the system.
Some applications have different UI style.

So iLinux fail too.

@ClickNin

Do you even think before you write?

I talked about "consistency of operation" and you are talking about Theme compatibility.

Not all themes are compatible with all Linux distros.

What's the matter with you?!

@ClickNin

The following apply to any Linux Distribution:

In Linux there is a wide diversity of Interface Software Layers that Applications use to be displayed: GTK 2, GTK 3, GTK 4, QT, Gnome, etc.

Unfortunately there is no common Visual Consistency Agreement between all of them, so developers have no choice if they want to support all of them in their Linux Distributions.

The only thing developers can do, is to create Interface Themes that display Apps of all Interface Software Layers as consistent as possible.

@ClickNin

If you have tested iLinux OS, please open a New Thread with Specific Examples and Screenshots at "Report Problems & Bugs" section if you want to report certain interface inconsistencies, if any.

Only Substantiated Reports with Screenshots will be accepted as valid, so that we can duplicate the visual result.

iLinux is the Swiss Army Knife for any computer and fits in a USB stick. Going iLinux I didn't just switch to another distro. I entered a cool new world of computing and power. And now with servers in my live USB stick I can do anything! I can't say it enough: WOW!!!!!!!!
