Why I love iLinux OS!

append delete Seraf

I use iLinux OS for the past 4 months and Linux for the last decade or so. Migrated from Windows to Macs at 2008 changed my perspective and my life. With Macs taking a totally different path since Steve Jobs died, options became less than ever.

Microsoft Windows are a nightmare. Macs are becoming more and more like iOS devices everyday and cost way too much, so I turned to Linux for salvation while still using my old Macs.

Until I found iLinux OS I was "tormented" by Linux Distros that, despite the best efforts and intentions of their developers, were not mature products for simple everyday Users but Hobby Experimentations or Linux Lobby Distros for any given purpose. Admirable nonetheless but not enough for me.

As a simple everyday User I need a PRODUCT that just works. Period. Plain and simple. Nothing less.

Learning through experimentation with Linux is a very good thing and everyone should do it (i 've done my share), BUT ONLY AFTER THE WORK GETS DONE WITH AN OPERATING SYSTEM THAT JUST WORKS OUT OF THE BOX, WITH A USER EXPERIENCE AT LEAST EQUAL TO THE "MAC OS" OF STEVE JOBS ERA.

And to get the work done you must not be forced to waste hours, days, weeks or months to get your Computer to do what you want it to do.

You must just open it and work or have fun. Anything less is pure failure from a Consumer's perspective.

I am fed up and done with Apple's marketing extortions: Want the latest Mac OS? Spend 1000s of dollars to buy a new Mac! Bought a new Mac? Buy new Apps because your old Apps don't work with our new Mac OS! Your new Mac's RAM/Disk failed out of warranty? Buy a new Mac because RAM/Disk is soldered on the Motherboard! You have updated to Mac OS Big Sur? We transformed your computer to an iPhone, suck it up! Are you offline? You can't open certain Apps! You think your new Mac belongs to you? Sorry, we spy on you, on your location, share your data with the Government and we even know when you open an Application!

iLinux OS gave me back that priceless happy feeling of a computer that smiles back at me, of a computer that is mine, simple, fast, flexible, stable and most of all colorful and happy.

I love that old cozy feeling of a friendly lovable computer, that was designed with a human centered vision and with my needs in mind.

I love that I can have a computer with an Operating System better than Mac OS for FREE.

And for those of you that hate to admit it, iLinux OS is a very well designed FREE PRODUCT that just works out of the box like a PLUG AND PLAY DEVICE.

It's not another Experimental or Linux Lobby Distro.

It's exactly what simple everyday Users want.

It's what was missing from the computer landscape.

And that's why it will succeed beyond any expectation, slander or hatred.

Raw truth. Respect.

I couldn't agree more...

One of the things I adore about iLinux is that I have a computer superior to Mac, without paying for a Mac...

append delete #3. Baconas

I love iLinux because it made my Core2Duo laptop alive again with no SSD!

append delete #4. Tom

@Seraf - I love the fact that it has all the Apps I need and it's ready to use after install unlike other Distros that need a lot of tweaking. Live Updates & Extras are also fantastic!

append delete #5. Kelly Smith

You nailed it pretty darn good. ;-)

append delete #6. Pablo M

@Seraf Impressive and in-depth point of view. You got me thinking...

I find it hard not to love iLinux! I have heard a lot of bad things for it on IRC Channels and Linux Boards but after a test drive I see that it was all filthy propaganda and lies, lies, lies. I am so angry at all this and I am very happy and thankful that iLinux exists and it's FREE.

append delete #8. UBUNTU FOR EVER

Ha ha ha ha!! iLinux is crap!! Ubuntu rocks!!

append delete #9. Optimus Prime

Get a life...

Ubuntu is a Bug Factory at best. It went so far off Debian that it lost almost everything that make Debian great. At least iLinux is based on raw Debian and we have peace of mind...

append delete #11. DigiDeLorean

I love iLinux because it's dead simple and very functional at the same time! Practically there was no learning curve and the interface is very professional and distinctive! All the Apps I need are there and I feel right at home! And most important of all it's FREE!!!!

append delete #12. Alioth

I love all that nostalgia it makes me feel about the golden era of computing!

append delete #13. Sonic de Lonic

That too! And the nostalgia/modern equilibrium is so balanced...

Why I love iLinux OS? It's the "Mac OS" of Linux. Period.

And I don't have to buy a Mac to have it! :-D

append delete #15. Peter

As a simple everyday user I see no reason why I should buy a Mac since iLinux exists. I 've a fast interface second to none, all the Apps I could ever want, stability & portability. Plus I can run it from wherever I choose: Hard disk or USB stick or Memory Card. I 've tried them all and it works on my old PCs better than I could ever imagine. So yeah! I love iLinux and for good reason... So long Apple...

I had all the best intentions to give Linux a shot for my everyday computing needs but until now I was disappointed.

iLinux OS changed completely my way of thinking about Linux and about it's practical potentials against Macs and Windows.

It's the first time I feel I can finally use Linux and not just trying to make it work.

I am blown away by the profoundness and the simplicity of such a stable and yet so deep interface and overall system.

Being a programmer myself I find the conception and materialisation of iLinux OS really extraordinary.

I can verify everything you say about IRC and Linux Boards concerning iLinux OS.

No matter how troubling the magnitude of this is, only a fool would think that iLinux OS is the work of a single person.

It is clear that there is another play behind the scenes, one that will change the digital landscape for ever in a way yet unseen.

And that's exactly why the Linux Mafia that destroys Linux day by day worries.

Windows is a joke. Macs cost a fortune. iLinux is better than both and free. Need I say more?

append delete #18. i386

I am not buying a new PC to run Windows 11 and I am tired of viruses and broken things after updates on Windows 10...

So here I am!

I'm new to iLinux and already in love with it!

Seems the developers know their game pretty darn well...

I like the way iLinux stands out of the crowd of linux distros.

I like the attitude and I like that it's focused on getting things done for the simple man.

You see most other distros websites and you think you must have a rocket science degree to use them but with iLinux all things are simple! Even the forum has no registration! No one else does that!

On the other side I tried Ubuntu and ElementaryOS before iLinux and I was like "OMG where's the computer gone?! Am I in kindergarten?! WTF??!!" So oversimplified it got extremely complicated to do anything...

I love that iLinux is both traditional and modern. Simple and powerful and full of eye candy!

But mainly I like that feeling that it's designed with love for simple everyday people like me...

append delete #19. Seraf

I may not speak often but I really like the mentality of the people in our rogue Linux community...

append delete #20. ROBOTXXX

What I love about iLinux? The potential and the hope it gave me in a world dominated by Microsoft and Apple. The ability to have a really usable and stable Linux distro for my everyday needs.

append delete #21. LOL91

We like you too buddy! :-)

append delete #22. i386

iLinux allows me to use my Computer as never before. I discover new things and new possibilities in iLinux everyday. It's a hell of a ride...

append delete #23. no cookies

I am not buying a new Mac. Period. iLinux offers everything I need for free and with a style. I am not just in Love with iLinux. I am marrying it!

append delete #24. C64

I love the quiet tenacity of the Developers and their commitment to quality and perfection. I feel it on every detail of iLinux every day I use it. I have only felt this on Mac OS but in iLinux it's better, more fresh and artistic. I feel that this OS is designed specifically for me and that's the great success of iLinux. By experience I can sense the vision and empathy behind iLinux and I am overwhelmed by it. And of course I love the fact that iLinux is FREE. I don't know where this trip with iLinux will take us but I am thrilled by the endless possibilities I see before us!

append delete #25. alienware

Wow... Just wow... Everything about iLinux is lovable... As I prepare my review I just can't believe that such a beautiful, solid and professional OS is out in the wild... iLinux is not just about love for computing and Linux, it's a long awaited revolution... And the absolute silence of the Linux community about it proves a lot...

append delete #26. Jessie Sullivan

Been using iLinux for over 5 months now and I never had to use the support forum. That's reason enough....

Keep up the good work!

append delete #27. iLinux Creater

Thank you! I highly appreciate it. Now let's try to boycott Debian!

append delete #28. iLinux Support Team

@iLinux Creater

Trying to pose as "iLinux Creator" is ridiculous at best.

Keep the dialog to a civil level.

There is no censorship in this Community, so there is no need for you to pose as someone else.

iLinux Support Team added on

We respect and promote Debian and that's why we chose it as iLinux OS's Core:

append delete #29. Richard Stallman

No censorship?! That's a +1 from me.

append delete #30. root

It's my dream OS. Everything is at my fingertips. I don't need to install or download anything. Clone it, transfer my files and I am ready to roll. What more can I ask for?

append delete #31. BobBob

I love iLinux because in using it you can sense how much the developers care, not only for their dream but for the users too.

This is priceless.

It takes a certain quality of tenacity and a certain kind of character to do this.
