A lot of amazing stuff is going on behind the scenes of iLinux OS Development these days...
All we can say for now is that there will also be smaller versions of iLinux OS from version 3.0, without 500 preinstalled Applications!
Stay tuned! ;-)
wow !!! nice !!
were can i keep track of ilinuxos devlopment ? like github ?
aslo im spanish, my english not very good
You can keep track of iLinux OS Development from Updates:
These smaller version will be in ISO or on IMG format? Will there be a standard installer too? Will you continue to have a full blown version with 500 apps preinstalled?
“These smaller version will be in ISO or on IMG format?”
ISO.
-
“Will there be a standard installer too?”
Yes.
-
“Will you continue to have a full blown version with 500 apps preinstalled?”
Yes.
All this is very interesting even though unexpected...
Will you continue to have a Tactical full blown version with 500 apps preinstalled in IMG format? Will there be a "Servers" edition?
“Will you continue to have a Tactical full blown version with 500 apps preinstalled in IMG format?”
Yes.
---
“Will there be a "Servers" edition?”
All editions of iLinux OS will have "Servers" embedded.
This is going to be hilarious, watching the "Linux Mafia Army" thugs already banging their heads to the walls...
OK. This is going to be epic. All this time bullying mobs was attacking iLinux for not being small enough for them and bloated and not having ISO installations. Let's see what they'll say now. Personally I like the full version with all the apps built-in but it seems like it's payback time for iLinux Devs....
I agree with @DigiDeLorean that it was unexpected. For me it was a complete surprise but when I saw that they'll keep the IMG/500 Apps version alongside the small ISO versions it was a relief for me. I hate installing everything over and over again and again in every new PC!
I very much like the commitment I see in iLinux. The Devs are so focused, detail-oriented and full of surprises......
Oh! BTW I love the new iLinux logo in the About iLinux window!!!!
Peace out iLinuxers!
You bet it was unexpected and strange but one thing I've learned by using and following iLinux is that these Devs don't do random. They don't fool around. There's always an objective. And considering their Tactical background I am very curious what they'll bring to the table with iLinux 3...
OMG if they really start releasing iLinux OS in small iso's I'll ditch ubuntu in a sec!!!! iLinux as it is now it has toooooo many apps and biiiiiig size!!!!!!
I am happy with iLinux as it is. It offers me everything I need out of the box. :-)
